General Information
3-(N-methylpentylamino)propionic acid hydrochloride is known as NBPT, it is a highly efficient, nontoxic soil nitrogen stabilizer with no side effects on soil. It inhibits urease activity and is used with urea fertilizers to enhance efficiency and stability. NBPT slows the conversion of urea to ammonia, reducing ammonia volatilization losses.
