Banana Trees Need a lot of Water. Water is very Important in the Process of Growing Bananas.

Banana plant tissues contain a lot of water, and their leaves are wide and have strong transpiration. When the weather is fine, banana plants lose a lot of water through leaf transpiration. In order to maintain the normal physiological functions of the plant, such as photosynthesis, nutrient absorption and transportation, a large amount of water needs to be absorbed to supplement and ensure the water balance in the plant. Bananas grow fast, and during the growth process, whether it is cell division or the formation of new organs such as leaf growth and fruit expansion, sufficient water is required. For example, during the rapid expansion period of banana fruits, sufficient water can make the fruit grow full and smooth. If there is a lack of water, the fruit will be poorly developed, with small and deformed fruits.

Sufficient water helps regulate the temperature and humidity of the planting environment. In the hot season, sufficient water can reduce the temperature of the banana plantation and prevent the plants from being damaged by high temperatures. In addition, appropriate humidity can reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases. For example, when the air and soil humidity are appropriate, the reproduction of some pests that breed in dry environments, such as red spiders, will be inhibited.

When planting bananas, scientific watering will also vary depending on the growth stage, climate factors, soil conditions, watering methods, etc. Among them, choosing the right water retaining agent is also particularly important. For example, people can try PGA products. Containing over 1,000 super hydrophilic genes, it can fully maintain moisture in the soil, improve the looseness and porosity of heavy clay soils, and enhance the fertility and water retention of sandy soils. In addition, water retaining agents can be used together with organic fertilizers, compound fertilizers, etc. Organic fertilizer can improve soil structure and increase the soil's ability to retain fertilizer and water. When used in conjunction with water-retaining agents, it can better provide water and nutrients for banana growth. If it is some sandy loam, because of its low nutrient content, loose structure, and weak water and fertilizer retention capacity, the effect of biochemical humic acid is more obvious, which can significantly increase the nutrient content in the soil and increase soil water retention.
