1. The role of improving fertilizer utilization efficiency
With the extensive use of chemical fertilizers, it is a well-known fact that their utilization rate continues to decrease. This shows that it is limited to increase crop yields only by increasing the application of chemical fertilizers in large quantities, not to mention a series of problems such as environmental pollution. For this reason, scientists from various countries have been working hard to explore ways to improve the utilization rate of chemical fertilizers to achieve balanced fertilization and rational fertilization to overcome its disadvantages. Microbial fertilizers have a unique role in solving this problem. Therefore, according to my country's crop types and soil conditions, the use of microbial fertilizers and chemical fertilizers can not only increase production, but also reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and reduce costs. It can also improve soil and crop quality and reduce pollution.
2. Role in green food production
With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, especially people's requirements for improved quality of life, green agriculture (ecological organic agriculture) is actively developed at home and abroad to produce safe, pollution-free green food. The process of producing green food requires no or as little use (or limited use) of chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides and other chemical substances. It requires that fertilizers must first protect and promote the growth and improve the quality of the objects to be applied; secondly, they must not cause the objects to be applied to produce and accumulate harmful substances; thirdly, they must have no adverse effects on the ecological environment. Microbial fertilizers basically comply with the above three principles. In recent years, my country has used strains with special functions to make a variety of microbial fertilizers, which can not only alleviate or reduce the pollution of agricultural products, but also improve the quality of agricultural products.
3. The role of microbial fertilizers in environmental protection
It is an economically feasible and effective way to use the specific functions of microorganisms to decompose and ferment municipal solid waste and agricultural and animal husbandry waste to produce microbial fertilizers. There are two main methods that have been applied at present. One is to use a large amount of municipal solid waste as raw material and process it directly into a microbial organic compound fertilizer in the factory; the other is to produce special microbial fertilizer (strain agent) in the factory and supply it to the composting plant (field). ), and then stack various agricultural and animal husbandry materials to speed up the fermentation process, shorten the composting cycle, and also improve the quality and maturity of the compost. Microbial fertilizers are also used as soil purifiers.
4. Improve the soil
Beneficial microorganisms in microbial fertilizers can produce sugar substances, accounting for 0.1% of soil organic matter. Combined with plant mucus, mineral embryos and organic colloids, they can improve the soil aggregate structure, enhance the physical properties of the soil and reduce the loss of soil particles. Under certain conditions, it can also participate in the formation of humus. Therefore, the application of microbial fertilizers can improve the physical properties of the soil and is beneficial to increasing soil fertility.
